Pikes Peak Cog Railway 

The Broadmoor Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway is a cog railway that climbs one of the most iconic mountains in the United States, Pikes Peak in Colorado. The base station is in Manitou Springs, near Colorado Springs. The train takes you to the top of Pikes Peak (14,115 ft, elevation) with views you will never forget. The train starts in Manitou Springs, CO, which is about a 40 minute drive from the Jellystone Park.

Garden of the Gods - Raw and Untamed Beauty

Seven Falls

Called “The Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado,” Seven Falls excites the senses with awe-inspiring natural wonders. It has been an institution and tourist destination since 1883. Your visit includes more than waterfalls and is best enjoyed as a walking park. Your “walk in the Park” is .8 of a mile along a paved road from the park entry gate to the base of the Falls and Restaurant 1858. Located about 30 minutes south of Jellystone Park at 1045 Lower Gold Camp Rd.

Dog Parks


Greenland Open Space-Devon’s Dog Park Off-Leash Dog Park

A 16.5-acre dog park, is located on the east side of the Greenland Open Space trailhead in Larkspur. Take I-25 to the Greenland Exit 167 and go west and follow the gravel road 3/4 mile to the Greenland Open Space Trailhead. Devon’s Dog Park is located at the east end of the trailhead parking lot. Located just 15 minutes south of Jellystone Park off I-25 at 1532 Noe Road, Larkspur, CO.


Glendale Farm Open Space-Douglas County Off-Leash Dog Park

Glendale Farm has a 17-acre off-leash dog park that is perfect for getting some exercise with your dog. The park is adjacent to 1.6 miles of Glendale Trail, where dogs are required to be on a leash to protect the sensitive habitat of the area. Take exit 188 Castle Pines Parkway, turn right at exit and proceed to the east frontage road; turn left on the frontage road and travel north approximately 1 mile to the dog park on the east side of the road. Located 15 minutes north of Jellystone Park at 12300 S. Havanna Street, Castle Rock, CO.

Dawson Butte Ranch Open Space Trail

5 Mile Loop-Moderate - 1753 Tomah Rd, Larkspur, CO 80118; only 10 Minutes west of Jellystone Park.

Spruce Mountain Open Space & Trail

5.5 mile-Upper Loop-Moderate - 13415 Spruce Mountain Rd, Larkspur, CO 80118; only 15 minutes south of Jellystone Park.

*The Rock Park Open Space and Trails

1.4-mile loop-Climb to top of the Rock right in the heart of Castle Rock, CO to see up and down the front range. When done, enjoy a beer at one of the many Castle Rock Breweries or shop or eat at one of the many restaurants in Castle Rock. 1701 Front Street, Castle Rock, CO 80104; only 10 minutes north of Jellystone Park.

Plum Creek Trail

11-mile trail that winds thru Castle Rock, so you can get off anytime to shop or eat or have a drink at one of the local restaurants-Easy trails as if 10 ft wide concrete path. 3517 Mount Royal Dr., Castle Rock, CO 80104; only 10 minutes north of Jellystone Park.

Castlewood Canyon State Park

12-mile Moderate Trail - 2989 S, State Hwy 83, Franktown, CO 80116. State Park Entry fee is charged; only 30 minutes Northeast of Jellystone Park.
